Therapeutic Approaches for Healing, Growth & Lasting Change
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Our experiences, relationships, and ways of navigating the world are shaped by many factors, and meaningful change often involves more than simply understanding why we feel or respond the way we do.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and informed by the connection between our thoughts, emotions, bodies, and experiences. I integrate evidence-informed approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help individuals explore longstanding patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop a greater sense of connection with themselves.
Together, we determine which approaches may be most helpful based on your needs, preferences, and goals.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Understanding Yourself With Greater Compassion
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach that helps us understand the different parts of ourselves that influence how we think, feel, and respond. These parts may carry anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, or protective patterns that developed through earlier experiences.
IFS offers an opportunity to explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, supporting greater self-understanding, emotional healing, and internal balance.
Understanding the Connection Between Your Body and Emotions
Stress and difficult experiences can affect more than our thoughts and feelings. They can also influence how our nervous system responds to everyday situations, relationships, and perceived threats.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-oriented approach that helps individuals gently notice physical sensations, recognize patterns of activation, and build greater capacity for regulation and resilience.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Processing Difficult Experiences and Moving Forward
Some experiences continue to affect how we feel, think, and respond long after they have occurred. EMDR therapy is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps people process distressing memories and reduce their ongoing emotional impact.
EMDR can be helpful for individuals experiencing trauma-related symptoms, distressing memories, and negative beliefs connected to past experiences.
