TELEHEALTH & IN PERSON
I cannot tell you what lies ahead, but I can tell you, you are free to open your heart to peace, no matter your uncertainty.
You are free to hold both joy and sorrow.
You are free to challenge yourself while also being gentle with yourself.
There is more than enough room for all of it.
~ Morgan Harper Nichols
Therapy With Me
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I believe in the power of compassion, empathy, and humility to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported in working towards goals that matter to you. My approach is rooted in long-term, sustainable change, and I enjoy working with individuals who are looking for meaningful, transformative growth over time.
My impacting identities/roles that inform my work
I’m a mom, wife, daughter, sister, and lifelong learner. These identities, along with my lived experiences, help me bring a holistic perspective to my practice. I draw upon both the wisdom I’ve gained from my own life journey and the diverse, hands-on experiences I’ve accumulated through working in community-based mental health, schools, medical settings, and the foster care system.
I feel informed and knowledgeable about
With a strong focus on trauma-informed care, I specialize in helping people heal from past experiences and build healthier, more resilient relationships with themselves and others. My passion lies in working with both children, teens, and adults—whether through individual therapy or family-focused sessions—fostering deeper connections that promote healing and growth. I’m also dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate the often complex and transformative journey to parenthood, as well as the perinatal, postpartum, and early stages of new parenthood and beyond. Additionally, I am committed to serving historically marginalized populations, especially immigrant and refugee communities.
I work best with individuals who are
-
Self-motivated and ready to engage in the therapeutic process
-
Children (ages 10 and up), adolescents, and adults
-
Families navigating complex dynamics and transitions
I am not a good clinical fit for individuals who are
-
Actively struggling with substance use or eating disorders
-
Individuals in need of a higher level of care to ensure their safety
What makes me unique
My authenticity. I believe in creating a space of trust, openness, and mutual respect. Having grown up in Western New York, but also living in other cities before returning home to raise my own family, I bring a diverse perspective to my practice and relate to clients from different backgrounds and life paths. As a bilingual therapist, I am able to connect with individuals in both Spanish and English, allowing me to serve a wider range of individuals and families.
Commitment to Learning & Growth
I expand my knowledge and skills through reading and attending trainings, striving to stay informed about the latest therapeutic approaches. Self reflection through participation in therapy myself allows me to better understand the needs of those I work with and fosters empathy, humility, and connection.
Resilience, Joy & Fun Facts
I enjoy traveling, baking, coloring, doodling, and reading! I find these creative outlets not only bring joy but also help me recharge and stay grounded.
What resources me to build resilience: For me, resilience is nurtured through simple yet powerful resources: good food, sunshine, exercise, time outdoors, and quality moments with my family.
